## Frequently Asked Questions

#### Is there a free version?
Yes. Download DirectSync and use the desktop app plus the CLI for personal use and testing. All components are included. Runs are limited to 5,000 rows per data flow. The free edition is not for commercial production use.

#### What about VAT?
All quoted prices are net without VAT or other local taxes that may apply.

#### What if I am not a company?
If you are not a company, please contact us and let us know your country of residence. There will be different pricing (normally the net price plus VAT), depending on your region.

#### Educational, Non-Profit, and Other Licenses
If you are interested in other licensing options, please contact us and describe your specific needs.

#### What does "Company-wide use" mean?
The Company license allows usage of DirectSync inside your own company only. Only developers from the registered company may configure and run DirectSync for internal projects. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) is not included. If you plan to distribute DirectSync or `etlrun` as part of your products to third parties, or to offer it as part of a SaaS solution, choose Enterprise OEM.

#### Software as a Service — which license should I choose?
SaaS is allowed only with the Redistributable license (Enterprise OEM). The Company and Project licenses do not cover SaaS. If you offer DirectSync as part of a cloud-based, multi-tenant, or on-demand service, choose Enterprise OEM. Please ask for a quote and provide us with a short description of your setup.

#### What is the Enterprise OEM license for?
Enterprise OEM lets you integrate DirectSync into software products you sell or ship to customers, and into Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. It includes redistribution rights for DirectSync and `etlrun` with your product. No back-linking or mentioning of DirectSync is required. SaaS is not covered by the Company or Project licenses.
